A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to attend at one of my best friend’s wedding … in Morocco! Not only was it one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to, the Moroccan experience was epic. My friend is British Pakistani and her husband is Luxembourgish, so the wedding was a stunning, bright, colourful melting pot of cultures, and it was just beautiful.
As my friend wore her bridal Lehenga, she told all her girlfriends that they could optionally wear traditional lehenga as well and I jumped at the chance. She took me to the famous Southall Market, which full of clothing stores with beautiful traditional Asian gowns, dresses, fabrics and accessories. As green is my colour, we decided on this stunning beaded green and gold lehenga, which I had to get taken in slightly to fit like a glove.
On the day, there was a big group of us in traditional attire and we felt like princesses. My friend looked absolutely stunning in her hand made rose gold bridal ensemble that when I first saw her, I cried like a baby.The wedding was spectacular. Rich hues, luxe gold and red backdrops in a beautifully lit whimsical venue. It was like were in a movie scene when we first walked in. We partied the night away on the biggest dancefloor I’ve ever seen and I didn’t change my outfit till much later in the evening. My Lehenga got a good wear and great photo ops with the rest of my friends. I will definitely be wearing this again and loved every moment of being in it for a day.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a wardrobe without some form of a leather jacket but lately, I’m all about the faux leather. Back in the day, I used to spend hundreds of pounds on leather jackets because I saw them as investment buys but nowadays, I’m finding that a decent faux leather jacket can do the same thing for half the price. Not only is it cruelty free and better for the environment, I get to save some £££ in the process. I’ve had this faux leather biker jacket for more than five years and it’s still going strong. Featuring a lapel colour, shoulder tabs and silver fastenings, it’s one of the most versatile jackets I own.

I don't have any other reason for the post other than manifesting that we have EXACTLY  the same summer as we did last year. Bring on 3 months of bright, light sunshine, eating less (cause it's so hot), and an extended summer wardrobe where I don't need to wear layers or thick fabrics. I think I got this denim dress from ebay and I can't remember the link. Sorry...

I yet again have to apologise for the lack of the ideal fashion shoot backdrop but what can I say? I'm a time poor multitasker dedicated to creating fashion content wherever and whenever just for you (for example during my lunch break at work)... so here we are. When you've put together an ensemble people compliment you on, it's only fair to share it right? This look actually came together accidentally, because I was looking for my leather jacket that morning, couldn't find it, so threw on the denim. I love a bit of double denim especially when they are different colours, as they add that extra texture. I'm a little annoyed that Zara have still not reached out to me to be the face of their next influencer campaign because frankly, I promote their clothes far too much on my blog. You guessed it; my denim jacket and ripped jeans are both from Zara which I bought last summer and my top is from Forever 21. Matched with my trusted Public Desire patent boots, what's not to like. I'd say this is a perfect Spring, work to evening look that I have worn quite a few times now. Thoughts?
