Most Londoners will tell you that as soon as the
sun’s out, all want you want to do is get to the nearest rooftop bar and get a
cocktail in your hand. Add nearly four months of lockdown to that equation and…
well you can imagine the mood. As soon as we got freedom, my friend and I popped
to London Treehouse Hotel’s rooftop bar, The Nest for drinks.
Located in the heart of Marylebone just a short walk from Oxford Circus station, the London Treehouse Hotel opened in 2019, a new addition to the 1Hotels group. The group already has spots in LA, New York, and Miami, and are leading pioneers in sustainability and eco-travel. Along with its sibling hotels, The London Treehouse Hotel prides itself in their robust composting and recycling programs, as well as their commitment to reducing single-use plastic across operations.
Situated on the 16th floor, the first thing you notice as you walk through the wooden tunnel, is an indoor lounge filled with greeny foliage, recycled wood, and rustic looking furniture.
One of the standout features of The Nest bar is the 360 panoramic views terrace, offering you exclusive London views of landmarks like The Shard and London eye. The roof top terrace was my favourite experience, especially on the sunny day that we were blessed with. For just a few hours, you can feel like you’re on holiday, sipping cocktails on a rooftop bar in Ibiza.

Though we didn’t eat on this trip, I did take a sneak peek at their set
menu. You can have bar bites, a light lunch (e.g., Salad, salmon, flatbreads)
or afternoon tea (e.g., prawn Marie Rose mini brioche, mini cheese toastie or pistachio
éclairs). As soon as I get a chance, I will be going to this beautiful bar again. I
highly recommend booking in advance if you’re in a group of six or more, even
if you’re just going for drinks.
