I am normally one to shy away from bright colours, mainly because I'm scared of drawing attention to my... err non flattering bits. My mind has always been programmed to go for black and dark colours (slimming, make you thin, weight loss illusion) but as summer is on its way, I'm really trying to venture out and introduce a bit of colour to my wardrobe. I may not be quite ready to rock the entire neon trend but my new h&m electric blue jeans are definitely a good start! I have been looking for a pair for a while but couldn't quite find the right ones to fit my shape. These jeans are great because they have a bit of stretch to them and can cope with the fact that my thighs, waist and butt are all completely different sizes! They are perfect for summer and will certainly be a staple in my wardrobe as I can dress them up with a smart blazer and high heels and down with a t-shirt and a pair of converse. I really like the fact that i can wear them in so many ways making them ideal to take on holiday or a weekend away (less packing)
I wore them the other day with my pinstripe Zara blazer with a plain vest and loved it. Also playing around with some other looks i could put together with them. What do you guys reckon?
I know summer is still a while away but I couldn't resist making some new purchases! Just like most girlies I have a bit of a shoe obsession. Everyone has a style that they go for and mine definitely have to be wedges! Not only do they give me a helping hand with my height but they are great daytime shoes because they are comfortable and go with everything. Every summer I look for a new pair of wedges to add to my collection but can sometimes never quite find exactly what I have in mind so when I saw these new babies I couldn't resist! I had to buy buy buy....
These are going to see me through the whole summer. They are dainty and elegant on, and will literally go with everything in my wardrobe; jeans, dresses, maxi dresses and shorts. They have a slightly smaller wedge which means I'll be able to wear them for much longer especially at work. I love the shape of them and the patent look and feel means I can even wear them on a night out. These wedges are from New Look and were selling out fast! I had to buy them online as they'd already sold out in-store. Loving them :-)
Thank God it's Friday! I really felt like dressing down and being a bit casual today so I've gone for my mod-tomboy look. The only pair of trainers I own are my white converse but every time I wear them, I feel I need to smarten up a little bit on top with a shirt / blazer. My outfit today is all about my Chanel inspired shirt which I threw on this morning with a pair of jeans. I don't like looking too smart because i feel about100 years old so combining the shirt with a pair of trainers and jeans is the way i like to mix things up. Although I am a girlie girl and I love my heels, trainers are so comfortable and snug. Nothing like finishing work on a Friday, going for a few drinks and knowing that your feet aren't going to kill you a couple of hours later. So what do you think guys? Do you like this look? Are you feeling it?
Jeans , H&M, Shirt Primark and trainers converseHey guys. Apologies for not blogging for seems for ever but I've had an extremely manic few weeks and I've truly neglected my blogy blog. Soweeeeee! From now on I'll be on top of it! So I want to talk about make-up.... or lack of it may I add. For some reason, as I've got older, I've felt more comfortable going out and about wearing no make up. It started when I used to go on holiday and found there was no need to layer my face and clog up my pores if I was going to spend the day chilling on the beach or by the pool. I used to come back with glowing skin and a refreshed face and got a lot of comments from it. Obviously a lot of it is to do with sunshine and relaxation but I also found that not wearing make up for days on end was good for the skin! So now it's got to a point where a lot of the time i have make up free days! My friends are divided; some wouldn't dream of leaving their house without a hint of bronzer or foundation and others are with me! I personally think that it's really healthy to give your skin at least two make-up free days a week to give it time to breathe and get some sunshine and fresh air. So I'm going to do it! I'm going to post make-up less pictures because i think its the best beauty secret. It's liberating in a way and I'd like to know .... who else is with me ladies???
