I'm absolutely loving my new necklace from H&M. I'm really not a jewellery person but this one had to be purchased. I love the black gold detail and chandelier effect. I always feel a bit boring when I wear shirts so this will definitely funk things up a bit. I'm trying to build my jewellery collection and this one is definitely looking to be one of my favourites. I worn it twice already; one with my cute green blazer and another with this bright pink neon jumper..... #inlove

I am having the hardest time choosing what to wear with this
schizophrenic weather and its changing faces. This hasn't exactly been
the season for summer wear so anytime we do get it, i feel
like i need to wear three outfits in one day! We did have a bit of a heatwave (3 days of sun) a couple of weeks ago so I made the most of it! I seemed to go for completely different looks each day so i thought I'd share. Of course on the
hottest day of the year, I had to go to a client meeting so
needed to look smart (really hard to do btw) and all I can say is thank God for the blazer! Who knows how many days of real summer we'll
get so I'm going to make style hay while the sun shines. :-) Which look do

Day 1: Light denim skinny jeans, Zara rainbow top and New look wedges
Day 2: Polkadot summer dress from Forever 21, Zara blazer and black patent New look wedges
(had to look wear a smart outfit when it was 30 C!!!
Day 3: Keeping in casual with a pair of denim shorts, cute vest and a pair of converse
When it comes to finding the right heels, I am really picky. I like them to be a certain shape and height, not to mention comfortable and flattering. For some reason, I also seem to be hesitant to go for shoes that aren't black. It's so wrong I know but it's like black is my safety blanket colour. When I saw the Topshop Game heels, I fell in lust. I just love the pointed court shape as it's flattering and can be worn with almost anything from jeans and leggings to a fancy dress. Of course I went to get a pair in black to find they were all sold out... everywhere! I had nearly given up on them until I spotted the snake skin version of them. Though black is my staple colour, I find that snake skin works for me because it's versatile and can go with just about everything. Because I tend to stick simple palettes, these will be perfect to add a bit of flair to my outfits without me feeling I've gone over the top. Not worn them out yet so hoping to God that they pass the comfort test. x
When it comes to the peplum trend, I've always been a fan though a apprehensive and unsure whether it was a style that would suit me. I know all the trend reports say that it's flattering but I can't help but think that the ruffle around the waist could make you look wider if you're a hips, ass and curves kinda girl like me.I like the peplum silhouette because it's feminine and soft, but do think it needs to be worn carefully to suit your body shape.
I decided to give it a try when Omg fashion got in touch with me to try a few of their SS12 pieces. The great thing about affordable fashion is that it allows you to try different styles and trends without having to spend lots of money. I decided to go for the electric blue peplum style dress to add a bit of colour to my mainly black wardrobe. The dress does actually fit nicely though I would have to match it with a cute blazer or jacket for me to feel comfortable wearing it. I think the plain colour and simple cut makes it work for me as it's not too busy and not attracting attention to the wrong places. For the price, this dress is ideal to try out and see whether you and peplum are going to be friends before investing money on a statement piece.
