Review: Dalloway Terrace London

A couple of weeks ago, my friend and I went to the beautiful Dalloway Terrace restaurant for lunch.  I can’t tell you how good it feels to be doing things like this again. Situated at The Bloomsbury Hotel, this indoor-outdoor space is one of London’s best hidden gems, constantly taking you to whimsical worlds with their seasonal installations. I was lucky to see this spring inspired décor with its vibrant floral arrangement in a picture-perfect summer setting.

Though their afternoon tea offering was very tempting, my friend and I decided to have a good hearty lunch. Lunch or dining out in general has become so rare these days, I was not going to miss out on some decent grub. I went for the beer battered seabass fish, chips and tartar sauce with a large glass of wine. I was not disappointed and pleased to say that the food is as good as the ambiance.

What I like about Dalloway Terrace and their menu options, is that they’re versatile. From Irish porridge and French toast on the brunch menu to lemon shortbread and vanilla scones on the afternoon tea selection, there’s something for everyone. Pricing wise, though I wouldn’t class it as reasonable, it’s also not a shock to the system considering it’s a restaurant in a five-star hotel in central London. If you fancy a London treat for a lady’s lunch, a hot date or family get together, this is the spot for you. Being so close to Oxford Street also means it’s the perfect stopgap when you’re in central London on a shopping trip.

There are also private dining options for special occasions like birthdays, bridal showers, engagement parties and even wedding receptions.

After this year’s lockdown, I want to explore more hidden London spots like Dalloway Terrace and not take living in this city for granted ever again! I’ll definitely be coming back here for afternoon tea.
