With proms being cancelled all over the world, I really feel for the students who won’t get to have a graduation this year. I do love that lots of them are still dressing up and sharing their outfits on social media wearing top line suits and beautiful prom dresses. As my prom was over 100 years ago, I can’t quite remember much of it except that the dress I wore to it was horrific (thank God there was no Facebook or Instagram then). If I were to go to any type of prom now, I would wear a dress like this. I had this beautiful evening gown made in Sierra Leone at Christmas, and it fits so well because it was made to measure. I chose a stunning green gara print (as green is my colour) and went for a an off the shoulder cut with a sweetheart neckline and fishtail/mermaid style finish. I love love love love this dress. Where will I wear it? I don’t know. When will I get to wear this? No idea. But the fact that I have this amazing African style print made to measure gown waiting to be worn in my wardrobe, makes me smile. The one thing I will say about this dress is that is motivates me not to put on a single pound because it’s already so snug! No Corona pounds for me then!
Hello. Thanks for visiting my blog. I started it in 2011 because I love all aspects of fashion which I like to interpret it in my own way to suit my style and body shape. Might be a bit of shopaholic though I've got better over the years, always picking up one thing or another to throw a cute outfit together. As people kept commenting on my clothes and kept asking , 'where did you buy that?', it seemed like the perfect blog title. I'm a cross between an investment buyer and a bargain hunter, mixing the two, with a passion for tailor made African print designs .In the last decade, the blog has expanded out into other interests including travel, beauty and general lifestyle. Welcome! Please do comment or get in touch if you have any questions
